On our trips to see family in the southern
area of Canberra we often stay at Queanbeyan which is located in south-eastern
New South Wales adjacent to the Australian Capital Territory, and on the
Queanbeyan River which is a tributary of the Molonglo River.
On this particular trip we had our daughter, Bethany, and
grandson Harrison (Harry).
As it
was late autumn we decided to have a look at the beautiful Queanbeyan Park with
the beautiful autumn colour at this time of the year.
The trees were absolutely beautiful even
though a lot of the autumn leaves had fallen, the oval was spectacular with the
picket fence surrounding the boundary.
We walked around the oval and Harry enjoyed running through the leaves
and scattering them with his feet and also took great interest in the giant
trees.
Queanbeyan is really
beautiful in autumn as it has a cooler climate and the trees are spectacular
when the leaves change colour.
