We went away on a weekend package at Ulladulla NSW this is not far from home
approx 2.5 to 3hrs we stayed in a motel which faced the Ulladulla Harbour a
pretty outlook over the breakwater with the fishing boats coming and going.
We drove out to Warden Head Lighthouse which was originally built on the Breakwater
1873 then moved to its present site in 1889.
This light house is one of two only light houses in New
South Wales made from wrought iron plates riveted together to form a shell, the
other at the Wollongong Breakwater both designed by the same architect, from
this site the view is spectacular looking over the ocean and beaches.
Rennies
Beach is very close to the Light House, this beach is a very good surfing
beach and dolphins can be seen swimming in close around the area.
Included in our package was a cruise on the
Huskisson Dolphin Cruise we were keen but not
optimistic, we did have a good
time and we did see some dolphins as they can be fickle creatures and not
always come out to play.
The bay
was beautiful and the view to Point Perpendicular was magnificent it was while
we were in the area of Honeymoon Bay,
Jervis Bay we came across the dolphins.
Honeymoon Bay is a very pretty spot and camping is
permitted although the sites are available by ballot system only and no pets
allowed.
The cruise was very
relaxing and we stayed on the top deck so we could see all around it was great.
