On our way up the north coast we called
into Newcastle for a quick break and have a look around.
Newcastle has a working
harbor and is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city it also has some of the best
beaches, Merewether, Bar, Newcastle and Nobbys.
The weather had been a little unpleasant some days
before and the tractor was out giving the sand on the beach some TLC we had a
wonderful walk around then continued on to our destination.
The pool in the retreat was wonderful we
had a great time using this we also did some swimming at Nelson Bay and
snorkeling
at Fly Point Halifax Reserve
which is ideal for this.

We booked on a dolphin cruise with
“Seascape” Dolphin Watch and only saw a few dolphins but the trip was relaxing
and enjoyable
