Tasmania 2008
We have family living in Tasmania so we
decided to do a two day trip, they lived in the north western part of Tasmania,
Tewkesbury, but we decided to fly into Hobart and hire a car. Tasmania is a small state and it is
easy to drive from one end to the other in a short time, so we wanted to drive
ourselves and have a quick look around before arriving at our destination. Tewkesbury
is about 158kms (2hrs) from Launceston and 28kms south of Burnie. We noticed nobody rushes around and the traffic is minimal compared to the big cities of mainland Australia.

The property where we stayed was just
magic, a beautiful house with a small orchard, chooks, sheep, cows and a
beautiful creek running along the bottom part of the property. Tasmania is a very pretty place and
quiet spectacular and is not given the tourist push that is deserves. Our time here was obviously too short
and we will return again hopefully with our caravan.
